What I am and What I am Not

I’ve wanted to start a blog for a long time.  I have a lot to say: lots of stories to tell, lots of thoughts in my brain all the time…  I’ve been a pent up writer here for years as we’ve been in first crisis and then transition in our lives.  But as the dust settles around me, as I start to put together everything that is happening in the world right now, I find myself concerned for the direction our world is headed.  And I feel more than ever that it’s important to spread as much knowledge as possible as widely and passionately as I am able.  And more than ever I feel a burden to do whatever I can in this world to make it a better place and help as much as possible.
So what can I do?  I can start a blog.   But when I do, I want to be clear to you, my readers, who exactly I am and who I am not.  Because I talk about a lot of things, and I talk about them with authority and intelligence and insight.  But that doesn’t make me a health professional.  So let’s start there.
I am not a doctor.
I am not a nurse.
I am not a lactation consultant.
I am not a nutritionist.
I am not a midwife.
I am not a pharmacist.
I am not a dietitian.
I am not “off-grid”

I am a citizen.
I am a writer.
I am a Mom.
I am a student.
I am a gardener.
I am a homesteader.
I am a scientist.
I am spiritual.
I am human.

So as you read the stuff I’m about to write, please understand I’m speaking to you as a human, as a fellow citizen, as a learner and student with a passion to share.   Don’t mistake me for any of the things I am not.  Don’t take my word for anything I say; become your own informed, passionate, educated human citizen.  Always make your own informed decisions about what is best for your health, wellness, family and homestead.   Trust your intuition.  Talk to your God.

Raise your Eden.
